Losing job in two weeks because of bad economy. Had just started to settle in. Prospects not so great.
I'll be getting two more paychecks before they let me go, though, which will put me at...more money than I had when I moved here. So I know from experience that I'll be fine for at least a month, maybe two if I'm smart. Pretty sure I can find another job in a month or two.
On the upside, they also told me they wanted to keep me around--meaning if the market stabilizes and/or the company has a better month, they'll totally take me back. ...Which is great but I'm not going to hold my breath. :(
The stupidest part? I have a short list of people I've been meaning to email, who didn't even know yet that I HAD a job. This strikes me as kind of tragic, in that special lame way that is particular to my life. XD
SO I'M HOPING THE ECONOMY PICKS UP. Because I love my Bosslady, and my peoples, and my work computer, and my giant big warehouses. :(( Say prayers, people. Or burn incense. Or kill puppies. Whatever's your thing. &hearts
