I Call This Place My Own

Well. This might've been due to the fact that I had an extra person in my room all week (*pokes at alegwyni*), but whatever the reason is, aforementioned irritating Fundamentalist (right you are, cousin-mine) has hardly spent more than five minutes in my living space. I am quite glad about this. :D

Annnnnd as of tomorrow I'll have officially dropped Intro to Computational Linguistics.

*HUGE sigh of relief*

I dunno, I guess this is the semester for figuring out what your limits are. @_@ It'll show up as a "W" on my transcript, but seeing as I really really HATE dropping things I'll likely never do it again, so it's all good. The best part being, of course, NO COMPLING.

This isn't meant to reflect badly on the professor or anything--he's still my major advisor, I still love him lots--but seriously, I want to take LINGUISTICS CLASSES, not programming classes DISGUISED as Linguistics. Ugh. Perl. UGH. @_@

But so yey no more of that. <3333333

I'm now a 14-hour student! With Tuesday and Thursday afternoons mostly free, barring kung fu! *celebratory dance of happy* AND I NEVER HAVE TO WRITE IN PERL EVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

Plus also I get to see volwrath and sherpa_sherpa (and tehkiwidelight, you're coming home too right???) this weekend, next week, whenever, that always makes the whole world like a million times better.

Oh, and tanisacrolith? You need to CALL ME, sir. I haven't heard from you in FOREVER and I want to know what's going on with you. Mum sends her love, as do I. <3
